Product Specific Information: This is an alcohol-based liquid extract (tincture) prepared from the dried beans of Tonka - Dipteryx odorata. This product is for external (topical) use only.
Suggested/Recommended/Usage/Directions: For external use only. Shake well first, and do a patch test on a small area before wider use. Apply to intact skin only - do not use on broken skin, and keep it away from the eyes and mucous membranes. Do not take it internally. Because this is an alcohol tincture, it may sting on sensitive skin. Discontinue use if any irritation or reaction occurs. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light, and keep out of reach of children.
Precautions re: All Other: External use only - not a food: this product is for topical use and is not for internal use, and it is not a food or flavoring. Coumarin can be harmful to the liver and acts as a blood thinner in large amounts, and the FDA prohibits it as a food additive - do not swallow it. Medication: if you take blood thinners or other medication, consult your practitioner first. Pregnancy / nursing: safety information is lacking, so avoid use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. Skin: apply to intact skin only - do not use on broken skin, and keep it away from the eyes and mucous membranes. Do a patch test first, and stop if redness, itching, or rash develops.
