Product Specific Information: Glehnia (Glehnia littoralis) root, full-strength alcohol-based liquid extract (tincture). Made in Hawaii, USA with domestic & imported ingredients. Ingredients: Glehnia (Glehnia Littoralis) Dry Root. Origin: Russia.
Suggested/Recommended/Usage/Directions: Shake well. 20-30 drops (about 0.7-1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper) in 2 oz of water, tea or juice, up to 4 times a day or as directed by your practitioner. Tinctures may also be taken directly.
Precautions re: All Other: Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing or taking medication, consult your doctor before use. Discontinue use if any adverse reaction occurs. Excessive consumption may impair the ability to drive or operate machinery. Sun sensitivity: as a carrot-family plant, glehnia contains furanocoumarins (such as psoralen and bergapten) that can make the skin more sensitive to sunlight - avoid strong sun and tanning beds while using it, especially in concentrated form, and stop if your skin reacts. Medications: these same compounds can affect how the body processes some medicines (through the liver enzyme CYP3A4) - consult your practitioner before use if you take any medication. Traditional incompatibility: it is considered incompatible with Li Lu (Veratrum), a toxic plant - do not combine them. Pregnancy / nursing: do NOT use it during pregnancy, and consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use if you are breastfeeding. Allergy: it is in the Apiaceae (carrot/parsley) family - avoid it if you are sensitive to that family. Contains alcohol. Do not give it to infants or young children. Keep out of reach of children.
