Formula re: Contains: Alcohol-free Vegetable glycerin and purified water. Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria) dried flower.
Formulation re: Does NOT Contain: Formulated without alcohol, gluten, fragrances, or any artificial and natural colors.
Suggested/Recommended/Usage/Directions: Shake well. 20–30 drops (about 0.7–1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper) in 2 oz of water, tea or juice, up to 4 times a day or as directed by your practitioner. Glycerites may also be taken directly.
Precautions re: All Other: Meadowsweet contains salicylates (the aspirin family). It is not for everyone. Aspirin/salicylate allergy: do NOT use if you are allergic or sensitive to aspirin or salicylates. Blood thinners / NSAIDs: do NOT use with anticoagulants such as warfarin, or alongside NSAID pain relievers - risk of bleeding. Avoid before surgery. Asthma: use caution or avoid - meadowsweet extracts can trigger bronchospasm in sensitive people. Children with fever: do NOT give to children who have a fever or viral illness - salicylates are linked to Reye's syndrome. Pregnancy / nursing: do NOT use - meadowsweet has shown activity on the uterus. Keep to the suggested serving; do not exceed it. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing or taking medication, consult your doctor before use. Discontinue use if any adverse reaction occurs.
