Formula re: Contains: Alcohol tincture of barberry root bark (Berberis vulgaris), eleuthero root (Eleutherococcus senticosus) and garlic bulb (Allium sativum).
Suggested/Recommended/Usage/Directions: Shake well before use. Put the number of drops shown on the label into a little water or juice and drink it, up to the frequency shown on the label. Do not exceed the label serving. Use for short periods only. Store in a cool, dark place with the cap tight.
Precautions re: All Other: Barberry interacts with many prescription medicines and is unsuitable in pregnancy; garlic affects blood clotting. Infections: an infection of the bone or any other infection is a medical emergency that needs a doctor and prescribed treatment. This herbal product is not for infections and must never replace antibiotics. Prescription medicines: berberine in barberry blocks the liver enzymes that process many drugs and can raise the levels of warfarin, statins, cyclosporine and other medicines. Ask your pharmacist before combining this blend with any prescription medicine. Bleeding and surgery: garlic slows blood clotting. Do not combine with blood thinners or aspirin without medical advice, and stop use at least two weeks before surgery. Pregnancy, nursing and infants: do not use. Berberine can cause or worsen jaundice in newborns. Blood pressure and blood sugar: use caution with blood-pressure or diabetes medication, and do not use eleuthero if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure. Digoxin: eleuthero can raise digoxin levels. Do not combine. G6PD deficiency: do not use. Sleep: eleuthero in high amounts may cause sleeplessness. Take it earlier in the day. Age and duration: not for children. Use for short periods only. Garlic may cause body odor and stomach upset. Contains alcohol. Keep out of reach of children.
