Suggested/Recommended/Usage/Directions: For external use only. Shake well first, and do a patch test on a small area before wider use. Apply to intact skin only - do not use on open wounds or broken skin, and keep it away from the eyes and mucous membranes. Do not take it internally. Because this is an alcohol tincture, it may sting on sensitive skin. Discontinue use if any irritation occurs.
Precautions re: All Other: External use only - never internal: this product is for topical use and must not be swallowed. Madder root contains lucidin, which is genotoxic (it can damage DNA) and has caused cancer in animal studies. Skin: apply to intact skin only - do not use on open wounds or broken skin, and keep it away from the eyes and mucous membranes. Do a patch test first, and stop if redness, itching, or rash develops. Staining: madder is a strong natural dye and can stain skin, nails, and fabric. Pregnancy / nursing: do not use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Contains alcohol. Do not use on infants or children. If you have a medical condition or take medication, consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use. Keep out of reach of children.
