Precautions re: All Other: Bleeding: pau d'arco, garlic, papaya leaf and black walnut can all slow blood clotting. Do not use with warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel or other blood thinners without your doctor, and stop use at least two weeks before scheduled surgery or dental work. Short courses only: black walnut hull and pau d'arco are traditionally limited to about two weeks at a time. Do not exceed the label serving, and stop if you develop nausea, vomiting or unusual bruising. Pregnancy / nursing: do not use - pau d'arco and papaya leaf can affect pregnancy, and black walnut hull has not been studied. Allergies: do not use if you are allergic to tree nuts (black walnut), latex or papaya, pumpkin seeds, or aspirin and salicylates (cranberry). HIV medicines: garlic can lower the blood level of saquinavir - consult your doctor if you take antiretrovirals. Blood sugar: papaya leaf may lower blood sugar - monitor if you take diabetes medication. Seizure disorders: use caution with black walnut hull. See a doctor: digestive symptoms that persist, blood in the stool, fever or weight loss need medical diagnosis. Age: not for children. If you have a medical condition or take medication, consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use. Keep out of reach of children.
