Biotics Research Corporation 7-Keto-Zyme Review

7-Keto-Zyme (Biotics Research)™ is offered by Boulevard Compounding at $22.99 with a single Default Title option. The product supplies 7-oxo-DHEA Acetate, combined with SOD and catalase, which are described as important anti-oxidant enzymes. The page states that 7-oxo-DHEA Acetate has demonstrated a thermogenic effect. Although it is a metabolite of DHEA, the page says it differs in that it does not convert to androgens or estrogens (sex hormones). The label directions call for one (1) tablet each day as a dietary supplement or as otherwise directed by a healthcare professional. The serving size is 1 tablet. Each serving provides 5mg of 3ß-Acetoxy-androst-5-en-7, 17-dione (7-oxo-DHEA-Acetate), 30mcg of Superoxide dismutase from a vegetable culture, and 30mcg of Catalase from a vegetable culture. The page notes that 7-Keto-Zyme supplies the 7-Keto™ metabolite of DHEA, and that 7-Keto™ is a trademark of Humanetics Corporation. The product is stated to be gluten and dairy free. The page carries a keep out of reach of children warning, advises storage in a cool, dry area, and says the bottle is sealed with an imprinted safety seal for protection. The main ingredient in this tablet is 3-beta-acetoxy-androst-5-en-7,17-dione, often called 7-keto. It is given at 5 milligrams, but no human studies of it for weight were provided, so its effect here is unknown. The two enzymes are present only in tiny amounts of 30 micrograms each. For superoxide dismutase, one controlled trial in 90 people with simple obesity used a cream applied to acupuncture points three times a day for 12 weeks. Sixty percent of cream users lost body fat, compared with 76.7 percent in an acupuncture group and no improvement with a placebo cream [1]. That was a skin cream, not a swallowed tablet, and the daily amount was not reported, so it may not apply to this product [1]. For catalase, the only study listed was done in obese mice. It looked at blood vessel damage and the spread of cancer, not weight or body fat [2]. It offers no evidence that catalase helps men manage their weight [2]. Animal and cell studies are never counted.

Detailed customer feedback on 7-Keto-Zyme is very scarce. The retailer pages I could access had almost no written reviews. The Amazon listing for the 120-tablet bottle showed one rating and no written reviews. The Welltopia Rx page showed none. I therefore can't reliably extract recurring praise or complaints from real buyers, and I won't invent them. The listings do show a few themes in how the product is presented. Sellers emphasize that it is non-hormonal, with no conversion to androgens or estrogens. They also emphasize the pairing of 7-oxo-DHEA with antioxidant enzymes, and the gluten-free, dairy-free formulation. Those points are marketing claims and not buyer experiences. The only buyer signal I found is a single rating with no written comment. It is too small to say anything about effectiveness, tolerability, or tablet size. For broader context, feedback on other 7-Keto DHEA products often mentions subtle effects on energy and body composition that depend heavily on diet and exercise. Other themes are slow or hard-to-notice results, and occasional mild digestive upset or sleep changes. I did not verify any of these themes for this specific product. For real-world opinions, you could ask practitioners who dispense Biotics Research products or look for forum discussions. Treat any claims about results with caution until more verified-purchase reviews exist.

Biohacker Summary

Members Only8 of 10 recommend it
8 of 10 biohackers on our panel recommend it

Superoxide dismutase, the main ingredient, drew comments from all seven panelists who spoke, but only one of them, who has low natural production, says he personally takes it, and he also delivers it through exosomes. The other six were neutral, describing it as an antioxidant enzyme the body makes that fights oxidative stress, that weakens with age, and that can be raised by cold, certain plant compounds and other foods. One panelist links it to copper and zinc, and another says it is one of the body's two main detox systems. No one gave a dose or a preferred form for a supplement, and no one said they stopped taking it. Catalase is a smaller ingredient in this product; two panelists suggest it for graying hair, while one warns against taking it by mouth or through the mucous lining and thinks the body should raise its own supply.

RAL Summary

Members OnlyTier 4 for Weight and Metabolism for Men

Human studies support Superoxide Dismutase (1 of 1 human studies showed an improvement), but there are not yet enough reviews to confirm it (0). The final check notes: The tier rests on a single study of a superoxide dismutase skin cream rubbed onto acupuncture points, not on a swallowed tablet, and the main ingredient, 7-keto, has no human studies given; setting that study aside still leaves thin evidence, so the tier stays at 4.

  • Emerging: not enough evidence to rank higher yet.

Body systems: Endocrine system, Metabolic system

Combine with: For weight management, 7-Keto DHEA may be stacked with green tea extract (EGCG) and caffeine for added thermogenic support, plus L-carnitine and alpha-lipoic acid for fat and glucose metabolism. Chromium or berberine can support blood sugar balance, and omega-3 fish oil supports metabolic and cardiovascular health. If the real goal is cellular and DNA repair, consider adding an NAD+ precursor (NMN or nicotinamide riboside), resveratrol or pterostilbene, CoQ10 or PQQ for mitochondrial function, and vitamin D3/K2, magnesium, and a broad antioxidant such as glutathione or NAC. Because 7-Keto DHEA can influence hormone pathways, people with hormone-sensitive conditions, on medications, pregnant, or nursing should consult a clinician first.

Possible side effects: No major side effects reported.
