Gaspari Nutrition Novadex XT Review

Note on the name: the product is Novedex XT, not "Novadex XT". It is a post-cycle and "natural testosterone" supplement. The search results show it is not a nitric-oxide or pump product. Searching "novadex xt" on Amazon returned unrelated nitric-oxide products. Novedex XT was originally made by Gaspari Nutrition. It was marketed as a testosterone-support and anti-estrogen supplement for use on-cycle or post-cycle. Gaspari announced a voluntary national recall of all lots after the FDA said the product contains an aromatase inhibitor the agency does not consider a dietary ingredient. The ingredient was 3,17-keto-etiocholtriene, known as ATD. Later versions have been sold by Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals. Retailers describe the reformulation as containing 3b-hydroxy-androsta-1,4,6-triene-17-one, 3b-hydroxy-androsta-4,6-diene-17-one and androsta-3,5-diene-7,17-dione. I could not verify exact current label doses, so none are given here. Mechanism: the product works by inhibiting aromatase. Aromatase is the enzyme that converts testosterone into estradiol. Retailer copy says these ingredients inhibit aromatase and so increase testosterone production. The ingredients and how they act: - **Androsta-1,4,6-triene-17-one (ATD-type compound):** The marketing describes it as an inhibitor that permanently binds to the aromatase enzyme, creating an irreversible reaction that reduces estrogen production and raises testosterone levels. That is "suicide inhibition". The enzyme is disabled, so it must be re-synthesised before estrogen conversion resumes. - **Long half-life:** The original formula used an ether or ester attachment. Marketing says this gives a longer half-life, so it can be taken once daily. - **Metabolite activity:** The same retailer says a metabolite, 4,6-testosterone, also binds the androgen receptor. - **Non-androgenic design:** The original copy also claimed the formula did not suppress the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis. The intended outcome is less estrogen, so less estrogen-related water retention and gynecomastia risk. Users also hope for better testosterone-to-estrogen balance, muscle retention, a drier look and a better libido. These are manufacturer and retailer claims. Retailer copy for the older formula said no adverse events had been seen in pilot studies. The reviewer at Diets in Review said they had no access to clinical study results. Safety and regulatory points: The FDA noted possible adverse events with anti-aromatases, including infertility, adrenal insufficiency, and kidney and liver dysfunction. The agency concluded such products are likely to harm at-risk consumers. That group includes people with liver, kidney, adrenal or prostate concerns. Aromatase inhibitors act on the hormone system. People who are under 18, pregnant, have a medical condition, or are subject to drug testing should avoid them.

Study, Trial or Testing Result Summary

No ingredient findings were provided for this product, so no study evidence can be summarized for muscle building. The label lists a single proprietary anabolic and post-cycle blend of 75 milligrams per serving. The individual ingredients and their amounts are hidden inside this blend, so there is no way to tell whether any ingredient is present at a dose that has been studied in people. No human studies on muscle building were found for its ingredients. The store listing does not name the ingredients either. The buyer comments attached to this record could not be confirmed as belonging to this product. No reviews were counted, and some of the comments name a different product, Viradex XT. Because of this, they are not used as evidence here. Until the blend's contents are disclosed and studied, members should treat any claims about muscle gain, strength or testosterone from this product as unproven. Anyone considering it should look for a product that lists each ingredient and its dose so the evidence can be checked. Animal and cell studies are never counted.

Buyers are mostly positive about this testosterone booster, with several reporting better energy, strength and recovery, though the evidence is mostly personal and one buyer found no benefit at all. The reviews cover the capsules only; none appeared to be about other forms, so nothing was left out. **What buyers say it did for them:** The most detailed reports are from older men who say it helped raise their testosterone levels. One wrote, "my level is in the upper 600's now," after starting in the low 200s. Another said his level went from the mid 200s to "the mid 600 range" and that he seems to be putting on some muscle. A third, a long-time type 1 diabetic, reported "a measurable increase in energy" and better ability to hold onto muscle. Others mention faster recovery and heavier weights: "the weight on all my exercises have gone up substantially." One buyer uses it for post-cycle therapy and says it "Works well for PCT." Note that the testosterone figures are the buyers' own reports, and some also credit their trainer's advice. **What they complain about:** Complaints are few. One buyer saw "No value or benefit" and preferred the brand's vitamins. The same reviewer said they were "roped into an auto-reorder" and would not do that again. No one reported side effects; one buyer said he doesn't seem to have "any of the side effects of increased testosterone." **Taste, smell, pill size or form:** The reviews say nothing about taste, smell, capsule size or how easy the capsules are to swallow, so there is nothing to report here. **Value for money:** Price is not discussed directly. The only comment touching on cost is the unhappy one about the auto-reorder, which suggests checking subscription settings before ordering. Some buyers have stayed on the product for years, which suggests they find it worth the money, though they don't say so outright. One buyer praised delivery, saying the order arrived "just the way I ordered" it. **Who it seems to suit and who it did not:** It seems to suit men, particularly older men with low testosterone, who want help with energy, muscle and strength. Several are in their mid-60s and train with a coach. Loyal Gaspari customers also rate it highly: "I have always liked gaspari products." Some of these brand-loyalty reviews are general and don't say much about this product specifically. It did not suit the buyer who felt it did nothing for them. Some reviewers also refer to it as "Viradex XT," so that may be a naming mix-up in the reviews. The reviews don't say anything about women or younger users, other than the PCT user, who doesn't give an age. Overall, the reviews lean strongly positive, but many are short and give little detail. Those with the most to say report real gains over a period of months or years.

RAL Summary

Members OnlyTier 4 for Muscle and Strength

The review summary quotes buyer reports even though zero reviews were counted and none could be read, and several reviewers call the product Viradex XT, so these reviews cannot be confirmed as being about Novadex XT and are set aside. Its reviews are set aside, so it is graded on its studies alone. Promising, but human evidence is thin and there are 0 reviews.

  • Emerging: not enough evidence to rank higher yet.
  • No human studies on this goal for its ingredients.

Body systems: Endocrine system, Muscular system

Combine with: For its actual muscle-building purpose, pair it with creatine monohydrate (3-5 g daily), a quality whey or plant protein to meet daily protein targets, and magnesium, zinc and vitamin D3 to support normal training recovery and baseline hormonal health. EAAs or leucine can support muscle protein synthesis around workouts. If the user's real goal is cellular and DNA repair, they should look at separate products such as NMN or NAD+ precursors like nicotinamide riboside, resveratrol or pterostilbene, CoQ10 or ubiquinol, alpha-lipoic acid, and omega-3 fatty acids. Consult a healthcare provider before combining, particularly with hormone-sensitive conditions or medications.

Possible side effects: No major side effects reported.
