Soluble fiber, the main ingredient here, has good human support for blood sugar. In 29 trials of 1,517 adults with type 2 diabetes, soluble fiber supplements lowered long-term blood sugar by 0.63 points, along with fasting sugar, insulin and insulin resistance [1]. Thick, gel-forming fiber at about 13 grams a day lowered long-term blood sugar by 0.58 points [2], and a pooled analysis of 45 trials found similar benefits [3]. In overweight adults, fiber supplements modestly lowered fasting sugar [4]. Note that these studies mostly used more fiber than the 3 grams in this gummy, with about 7.6 to 8.3 grams a day suggested [1], and fasting sugar benefits seen above 8.3 grams a day [5]. Not every study agreed: 6 grams a day of oat fiber gave no benefit in people at risk of diabetes. The probiotic, Bacillus coagulans, was always tested mixed with fiber or other bacteria. Some trials lowered fasting sugar or insulin resistance in diabetes [6][7][8], while others changed insulin but not fasting sugar [9][10], and one in metabolic syndrome found no benefit [11]. Animal and cell studies are never counted.

Biohacker Summary

Members Only0 of 10 recommend it
0 of 10 biohackers on our panel recommend it

The panel did not speak about the main ingredient of this product, the probiotic and prebiotic fiber blend, so there is nothing to report on it as a group. Only Bacillus coagulans, a smaller ingredient in this product, came up, with five panelists mentioning it. Two of them recommend it, one pointing to its use as a shelf-stable, soil-based probiotic and the other calling it a heavily researched blend, while one uses it in homemade yogurt and as part of a detox plan. The other two were neutral, simply noting how it behaves in fermentation or that kombucha contains it. No one gave a dose, and no one voiced a caution or said they stopped.
