No study has tested this gummy or any B vitamin supplement on its own for regularity. Niacin is present at a full dose. Two large United States diet surveys linked eating more niacin with less constipation, but they measured food intake and cannot show that niacin caused the difference [1][2]. Vitamin B6 is also at a full dose. Three small, short trials found better bowel habits with drinks or capsules that mixed B6 with fiber, curcumin, menthol or probiotics, so the benefit cannot be credited to B6 alone [3][4][5]. One small trial in pregnant women found no constipation benefit from B6 with doxylamine [6]. For folate, a diet survey and a study of children linked low folate intake with constipation [1][7], and a kombucha drink with folic acid and fiber helped in a short pilot [8]. Iron and folate tablets often caused constipation, likely from the iron [9][10]. No study has looked at vitamin B12 for constipation; one small study used B12 injections for diarrhea in people low in B12 [11]. Biotin has no studies for this goal. None of the studies lasted longer than about a month. Animal and cell studies are never counted.

Biohacker Summary

Members Only0 of 10 recommend it
0 of 10 biohackers on our panel recommend it

Niacin is the main ingredient here, and the panel leans positive on it: of the ten, three recommend it and a few more use it or mention it neutrally. Panelists take it to raise the body's NAD levels, and some choose the flushing kind, one takes enough to flush before a sauna, and others use niacinamide for skin protection or to kickstart the morning body clock; one dose came up, 15 mg of niacinamide. Vitamin B12 drew similar support, with most advising that people get tested and fix a shortfall, and several preferring the methylated form (methylcobalamin), but one panelist warns against taking it too close to bedtime. For vitamin B6, one panelist says to avoid the synthetic pyridoxine hydrochloride form and take the active form instead, and another used B6 to correct a child's low levels. Folate, a smaller amount in this product, is widely preferred as methylfolate rather than folic acid, and biotin, also a smaller amount, comes with a warning from three panelists to stop it before blood tests because it can skew hormone and thyroid results.

RAL Summary

Members OnlyTier 4 for Regularity: Long-Term Relief

The only support comes from diet surveys for niacin and folate and from short trials of mixed products containing vitamin B6, with no trials of these vitamins alone and no reviews, so the evidence is emerging.

  • Emerging: not enough evidence to rank higher yet.

Where the evidence disagrees: 10 of the 18 human studies found no effect.
