The main ingredient is collagen peptides. Two gummies give 5 grams, which is at the low end of the studied range. Most clear muscle gains came at 10 to 15 grams a day. A review of 19 trials with 768 healthy adults who trained for at least 8 weeks found small gains in fat-free mass, muscle structure and maximal strength, with low to moderate certainty [1]. In 12-week training trials, 15 grams daily raised fat-free mass more than placebo in middle-aged men [2], premenopausal women [3] and older men with muscle loss, who also gained leg strength [4]. In trained men, 10 grams daily added slightly more muscle than placebo over 8 weeks [5]. In older adults who did not train, a full year of collagen did not change muscle size or strength [6]. Vitamin C is far below the studied dose here. Even at full doses, pooled trials found it neither helped nor hurt gains in lean mass or strength [7]. In some trials, high-dose vitamin C with vitamin E blunted training gains [8][9]. Each serving also has 6 grams of added sugar. Animal and cell studies are never counted.

Biohacker Summary

Members Only0 of 10 recommend it
0 of 10 biohackers on our panel recommend it

Collagen, the main ingredient, gets a mostly positive response: of the ten panelists, three recommend it, four use it, two are neutral, and one has stopped taking it. People take it for skin, joints, connective tissue and muscle, and one takes it for his gut. Doses mentioned are 10 grams in the morning (three of them), 15 grams an hour before a workout, and 2.5 to 5 grams a day of hydrolyzed peptides for at least eight weeks for skin elasticity. Several suggest taking it with vitamin C about an hour before exercise to support joint and connective tissue. Cautions came from one panelist who said collagen alone will not repair a damaged gut wall, and another who said it is a weaker protein than whey for building muscle. Vitamin C is a smaller ingredient in this product, and the panel mostly recommends it as a partner for collagen.
