This electrolyte drink mix has no ingredient at a proven dose for fast heartburn relief. Calcium carbonate eased meal-related heartburn within 15 to 30 minutes in small placebo-controlled trials, but those used about 420 mg, and this product has only 80 mg [1][2]. Calcium and magnesium antacids raised stomach pH within minutes, though the effect was short [3][4]. Magnesium here is 40 mg, well below studied antacid doses, and one trial of an aluminum and magnesium antacid found no benefit over placebo for indigestion [5]. Vitamin B12 is at a trace dose compared with the 1000 microgram dose studied [6]. Folate, vitamin B6 and riboflavin are only linked to less reflux in diet surveys [7][8], or were tested inside a blend with melatonin where their own effect cannot be separated [9]. Vitamin C was tested only for irritation from an iodine stain, not everyday heartburn [10]. Zinc did not beat placebo for reflux [11]. Salt did not change reflux [12], and potassium nitrate did not change reflux symptoms [13]. No study tested taurine as a heartburn treatment [14]. In one trial, a drink with vitamin B6 and other ingredients caused heartburn in 10 of 25 people [15]. Animal and cell studies are never counted.

Biohacker Summary
Members Only0 of 10 recommend it
Magnesium is the main ingredient, and every one of the ten panelists spoke about it. Four of them use it, mostly before bed for sleep, and two more recommend it for sleep, while the rest are neutral, with one noting it does not fix waking up during the night. Forms named were glycinate, and threonate (one panelist takes 400 mg of it before bed), and two get it from electrolyte drinks, one at 30 mg per can in the morning for workouts. Other reasons given were muscle function, cramps, and blood pressure, and one panelist warned that labels can make a magnesium dose look larger than it really is. Folate was also listed as a main ingredient, but only two panelists commented, and they simply noted it may need a little extra and can change how the body responds to a supplement; zinc, potassium, vitamin C and taurine are smaller ingredients in this product.

- Emerging: not enough evidence to rank higher yet.
Where the evidence disagrees: 22 of the 68 human studies found no effect.
