Study, Trial or Testing Result Summary
Members Only105 human studies · 64 improved
2 of these 105 human studies gave the ingredient by drip or injection, not by mouth.
Glucosamine sulfate, taken here at a full dose, has the strongest support. A pooled analysis of 80 trials found six months of it reduced knee pain and improved function [1], and in a six-month trial 39.6 percent of users improved versus 21.2 percent on placebo [2]. Three-year trials found it stopped joint narrowing [3][4]. The potassium form worked about as well as the sodium form [5]. The vegan chondroitin is at a full dose, but no study tested this plant-based form; all studies used animal chondroitin. The largest trial found no pain benefit over placebo [6], though knee swelling improved [7], and a three-year trial found fewer newly damaged finger joints [8]. The sulfur compound in this product is also at a full dose. Pooled analyses ranked it highly for pain and stiffness, though evidence quality was low [9][10], and adding it to glucosamine and chondroitin helped more than the pair alone [11]. Potassium is far below the studied dose, which eased pain in women with rheumatoid arthritis and low blood potassium [12]. Burdock root is also far below the studied dose, and its only study measured blood markers rather than joint symptoms [13]. Animal and cell studies are never counted.

Customer feedback for the Vimerson Health Vegan Glucosamine Chondroitin Phytodroitin MSM & Burdock Root supplement, primarily gathered from Amazon where it maintains an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars, presents a nuanced picture of user experience. On the positive side, a substantial number of reviewers expressed satisfaction, frequently commending the product for its ability to alleviate both joint and muscle pain. These positive testimonials often highlighted a noticeable improvement in comfort and mobility, indicating that for many individuals adhering to a plant-based lifestyle, this supplement effectively addresses their needs for pain relief and joint support. Users appreciated finding a vegan-friendly option that could deliver tangible benefits, helping them manage daily discomfort and enhance their overall physical well-being without compromising their ethical dietary choices. The consistent theme among positive reviews points towards the product's capacity to provide a genuine sense of relief and improved function for those struggling with chronic joint and muscle issues. Conversely, the customer reviews also contain significant negative feedback, which warrants careful consideration. A notable portion of users reported experiencing minimal to no benefit from the supplement, suggesting that its efficacy is not universal and can vary considerably from person to person. This inconsistency in results might be attributed to individual physiological differences or the less extensive research available on the vegan forms of some ingredients compared to their traditional counterparts. More concerning, however, were the reports of adverse effects, with several reviewers specifically mentioning stomach discomfort and other gastrointestinal issues. These complaints align with the product's feature description, which notes the inclusion of very high dosages for certain ingredients, potentially increasing the risk of side effects for sensitive individuals. Therefore, while the Vimerson Health product is positioned as a valuable option for vegans seeking joint pain relief, particularly given the scarcity of such alternatives, potential users should approach it with an understanding that individual outcomes may differ, and there is a possibility of experiencing stomach-related side effects. This makes it a product best suited for those committed to a vegan lifestyle who are willing to navigate these potential variations in experience.
Biohacker Summary
Members Only10 of 10 recommend it
The panel is split on glucosamine, the main ingredient, and only eight of the ten spoke about it. Two recommend it for joint pain or osteoarthritis, two use it (one in a recovery smoothie, one as a gut support form made from shrimp), and one more takes it daily but also warns against it during pregnancy. Three are neutral, calling the evidence weak or mixed, a small effect, or something they have not taken yet, and one warns that people with osteoarthritis spend about $60 to $70 a month on high doses with virtually no benefit. No one gave a dose for glucosamine, and the preferred forms were glucosamine sulfate and the gut support form. Potassium is a smaller ingredient in this product, and the panel mostly backs it for hydration and blood pressure, with one caution that it can be risky for people with kidney disease.
