Iodine is at the studied dose. It helps the thyroid mainly in people who do not get enough: in iodine-poor areas, supplements in pregnancy cut childhood cretinism by about 73 percent [1], and daily iodine shrank iodine-deficiency goitre by about 37 percent [2]. Too much iodine can slow thyroid recovery after surgery [3]. Iron is also at the studied dose. In iron-deficient children and teenage girls it shrank goiter and improved thyroid hormones [4][5], though one trial found no extra benefit [6]. Vitamin D results are mixed: a pooled analysis found lower thyroid antibodies in Hashimoto's thyroiditis [7], while another found no significant drop [8]. Zinc reaches the studied dose only at three servings a day, and its results are inconsistent [9][10]. Vitamin A, magnesium and vitamin C are below the doses used in studies that showed thyroid benefits [11][12]. Vitamin E, the B vitamins, biotin and calcium showed no thyroid benefit [13][14]. Folate is above the daily recommended limit, and members can take less; studies did not show it helps the thyroid [15]. High biotin can distort thyroid blood tests [16]. Animal and cell studies are never counted.

Zinc is the main ingredient in this product, and seven of the ten panelists spoke about it: four recommend it or use it, one warns, and the rest use it in other ways. They take it for testosterone and prostate support, gut lining (as zinc carnosine), better vitamin C absorption, sleep and blood vessel relaxation alongside magnesium, and wound healing. The one dose given was 30 grams a day for a week before surgery and two weeks after, and that panelist framed it as a warning. Iron, also a main ingredient, drew only neutral comments from three panelists, and one of them stopped because years of supplements never raised his levels. Vitamin D, magnesium and vitamin C are smaller ingredients in this product, and the panel mostly recommends them, with vitamin D best taken with fat.'
