Iodine is at the studied dose and helps the thyroid mainly in people who lack it. In iodine-poor areas, supplements in pregnancy cut childhood cretinism by about 73 percent [1], and 400 micrograms daily shrank iodine-deficiency goitre by about 37 percent [2]. Too much iodine can harm the thyroid [3]. Iron is also at the studied dose. In iron-deficient children and teenage girls it shrank goiters and improved thyroid hormones [4][5], though one trial found no extra benefit [6]. Keep iron 4 hours apart from meds. Vitamin D results are mixed. One pooled review found lower thyroid antibodies [7], while another found no clear effect [8]. Zinc reaches the studied dose only at three servings a day, and its results are inconsistent [9][10]. Vitamin A, magnesium and vitamin C are well below the doses studied [11][12]. Folate is above the daily upper limit, so members can take less, and studies do not show it helps the thyroid [13]. Biotin can distort thyroid blood tests [14]. Animal and cell studies are never counted.

Biohacker Summary

Members Only0 of 10 recommend it
0 of 10 biohackers on our panel recommend it

The panel treats zinc, the main ingredient, mostly with approval: of the seven who spoke about it, two recommend it for testosterone and prostate health, one recommends it with magnesium for sleep and blood vessel relaxation, three use it (for gut lining support, for helping absorb vitamin C, and in a sunscreen), and one warns, giving a dose of 30 grams a day for one week before surgery and two weeks after for wound healing. The forms mentioned were zinc carnosine, and zinc paired with vitamin C. Iron was covered by three panelists as the other main ingredient: two were neutral, noting it is needed for collagen and is a biomarker tied to mental health, and one stopped after 11 years because no form of iron raised his levels. Vitamin D is a smaller ingredient in this product that many of the panel recommend or take.
