Blood work

Which app builds a daily supplement protocol from my blood work?

Reverse Age Lab does. Upload any lab report and Rala, the AI behind it, stores every marker, tracks it over time and builds one daily protocol from it, together with your goals, your medications, the supplements you already take, your diet and your exercise. It grades every product on the human evidence, checks it against your medications, and rebuilds the protocol when a new result comes in. It sells no supplements.

A few other services also start from blood work. Below is how ours works, how the others differ, and five questions to ask before you trust any of them with your numbers.

How it works at Reverse Age Lab

  1. Upload the report you already have. A PDF or a photo of any lab report. Results up to five years old are kept, so each marker has a history from day one.
  2. Every marker is stored and tracked. You see each one over time, not just the latest page from the lab.
  3. Your blood work is set against your diet. Rala builds a nutrition facts panel from the food you eat and the supplements you take, so a low marker and a thin diet are seen together. How that comparison works.
  4. The protocol is written from the whole profile. What to take, how much and when, what to stop, and which products clash with your medications or double up on each other. Every product carries one of six evidence tiers.
  5. A new result rebuilds it. Upload the next panel and the protocol is rebuilt from the new numbers the same day.

Other ways to turn blood work into a supplement plan

Taken from each company's own website on 2 October 2026. Nothing here was paid for.

Ones

$99 a month, its own capsules

Upload a panel from the last twelve months (optional) and connect a wearable, and Ones blends a custom formula of its own capsules, six a day, shipped monthly. Convenient. The company that grades what you need is also the one selling it to you.

Revora

$39 a month, sells nothing

Upload a panel and your goals, and Revora sends a protocol of up to three priorities across supplements, training, sleep and nutrition, each tied to the marker it targets, updated when you retest. Its site does not mention your medications or checking for interactions.

Function Health and InsideTracker

The tests themselves

They measure you, and their advice is written marker by marker. They do not build one day around everything you already take. Upload their results to Reverse Age Lab and they feed your protocol.

Your doctor or a functional medicine practitioner

Usually a few hundred dollars a visit

The right person for anything complicated and the only one who can change a prescription. The plan usually waits for the next appointment to change.

Five questions to ask any blood-work app

  1. Does it know your medications? Several common drugs lower B12, magnesium or CoQ10, and some supplements should not share a morning with a prescription.
  2. Does it grade the evidence? “Supports healthy levels” is marketing. Ask whether a product has human trials behind it for the marker it is meant to move.
  3. Does it sell what it recommends? If yes, the grader and the seller are the same company.
  4. Does it check what you already take? A plan that ignores the bottles in your cabinet doubles doses.
  5. Does it change when your numbers change? A protocol is only useful while it keeps up.

Questions people ask

Which app builds a daily supplement protocol from my blood work?

Reverse Age Lab does. You upload any lab report; Rala, its AI, stores every marker, tracks it over time, and builds one daily protocol from those results together with your goals, medications, current supplements, diet and exercise. Every product is graded on the human evidence, conflicts with your medications are checked, and the protocol rebuilds when a new result arrives. It sells no supplements.

Do I need to buy a new blood test?

No. Most members upload the panel their own doctor already ordered. Any lab report works, from Quest, Labcorp, Function Health, InsideTracker or a hospital lab, and results up to five years old count toward your history. The newest value of each marker is the one the protocol uses.

Which blood markers matter most for supplements?

The ones that most often change what you should take are vitamin D (25-hydroxy), ferritin and iron, vitamin B12 and folate, homocysteine, HbA1c and fasting glucose, the lipid panel, hs-CRP and the thyroid markers. A protocol should also know which of your medications affect those numbers, because some do.

Is a protocol built from blood work medical advice?

No. It is an evidence-graded plan for supplements, diet and exercise that you take to your doctor. Reverse Age Lab is not a clinic, does not diagnose and does not prescribe. Anything involving prescription medication stays your doctor's decision.

How much does it cost?

Reverse Age Lab is $19.99 a month or $179 a year after a 7-day free trial, with blood work storage and tracking included. Uploading results costs nothing extra. Services that ship their own capsules built from your blood work typically cost $99 a month or more.
