Nature Made vs Nature's Bounty: Every Product We Graded, Side by Side

We graded 7 Nature Made products and 10 Nature's Bounty products on the human studies of their ingredients at the doses on their labels. This page sets every one side by side, with the goal it was graded for, its tier from 1 (strongest human evidence) to 5 (weakest) and its cost a month. We grade products, not companies: a tier says what the studies show for that product and goal.

Nature Made vs Nature's Bounty is a comparison of two of the biggest drugstore vitamin brands, and the fair way to make it is product by product. We graded 7 Nature Made products and 10 Nature's Bounty products on the human studies of their ingredients at the doses on their labels. Each one has a tier for the goal it was graded for, from Tier 1, the strongest human evidence, to Tier 5, the weakest.

This page sets every one of those products side by side, with its goal, tier and cost a month. We grade products, not companies: a tier says what the studies show for that product and goal, nothing more. Reverse Age Lab sells no supplements.

Tiers can change as new studies are graded; each product's page shows its current grade, the studies behind it and what its reviews say.

How to Read These Tiers

  • A tier is for one goal. Nature Made's fish oil was graded for cholesterol and Nature's Bounty's for eye health, so their tiers answer different questions and do not rank the two fish oils against each other.

  • A tier rests on the ingredient and the dose. A product whose main ingredient has strong human evidence for its goal, at the dose that worked, ranks higher than one whose ingredient has little evidence for that goal, whoever makes it.

  • A low tier is about the goal it was graded for. Nature Made's vitamin D3 sits in Tier 5 for thyroid health; what the studies show for vitamin D and other goals is on its ingredient page.

To compare products for the same goal, use the goal pages, which rank every product we graded for a goal, from any brand: for example Cholesterol, Energy and Hair Growth.

Nature Made vs Nature's Bounty for the Same Ingredient

Of the products we graded, the two brands overlap on two ingredients: fish oil and vitamin D. For a like-for-like comparison, read each ingredient's page, which ranks every product we graded that holds it: fish oil and vitamin D.

If you take meds: some of these ingredients, such as fish oil, berberine and ginkgo, can change how meds work. Check with your doctor or pharmacist, and see our guide to supplement and med interactions.

Which Products Fit Your Stack

Rala, the AI behind Reverse Age Lab, ranks the products you take, from any brand, against the human studies for your goals, checks each against your meds and builds one Daily Protocol. Rank my products against my goals.

Is this medical advice? No. This page sets out our grades of each product on the published research; it is not a diagnosis, and Rala isn't a medical device or a clinician. Talk to your doctor before you start a supplement, especially if you take meds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Nature Made better than Nature's Bounty?

We grade products, not brands. Of the products we graded, 1 of 7 Nature Made products and 6 of 10 Nature's Bounty products are in Tier 2, but each was graded for a different goal, so the counts don't rank the brands.

Which brand is cheaper?

Both have products under $3 a month. Among those we graded, Nature Made runs from $1.11 to $16.11 a month and Nature's Bounty from $2.22 to $25.19.

How are the products graded?

On the human studies of each ingredient for the goal, the dose on the label against the dose that worked, what buyers report and what our panel of biohackers say. Our methodology page explains the tiers.
